In class, we had to create a new soundtrack for this short film, which included Foley sounds. With my partner we managed to re-create about 40 seconds of the footage in the time we were given to record the sounds and edit them. Our techniques ranged from using a ruler to scrunching up paper. Through experimentation and trial-and-error we were able to find which sound best suited which particular action. Seeing as nothing is ever silent, we decided to use the gentle noise of an office fan for background noise, which suited the setting very well.
We could have done certain things to improve it, like using our time more effectively rather than spending a lot of time deciding which sound should be used for which action.
